"...On the other hand this can not be said for Sydney-based support act Dead Letter Chorus, as I'm sure they haven't drawn their crowd all the way from Sydney. Dead Letter Chorus have such a fresh sound. It's like a cloud of white snow came breezing through the quick capturing doors of the NoSo, releasing a pleasureable, addictive substance in the crowd. Listener's ears were attentive to the intricate folk that oscillated from the senses of the chilled, cheeky band.
DLC's five-piece set-up has excellent presence, with members interchanging instruments and charisma on stage. The music is full of dynamics, instrumentally and physically, and given that they play only a short set, there is much pressure to make these songs memorable. They perform two new numbers from their debut EP, Listen Carefully (We Shall Say This Only Once), along with a few earlier songs, showing a different side to their musical abilities, with blissful harmonies and epic trails - all in the space of 30 minutes.
Lead singers Cameron Potts and Gabrielle Huber have impressive fell in the way they wrap themselves around their lyrics with vocal harmonies accompanying them from all band members. A superb warm up to the night..."
